A few comments on this edition: It has no Contents/Index (?!), which means that if you want to go back and find a passage o something, you have to browse through the whole book. The English translation is inaccurate. There are sentences and even whole paragraphs missing. I guess the translator decided to translate what he considered important for the plot. Of the 3 movies based on the J. Verne book that I saw (David Niven 1956 - TV Mini-series with Pierce Brosnan 1989 - Jackie Chan 2004), I would recommend the 1956 version. Despite some additions/omissions, I find it to be closest to the book, also in terms of characters. The characters as portrayed in the 1989 version are also interesting to watch. For those who like to read Jules Verne, this is certainly one of his best adventure books.Product details

The Translation from French to English is awful. There are sentences and paragraphs that are not translated; dates are translated incorrectly (for instance, in French the date will be the 5th, and then translated to the 6th in English. Words are translated poorly. A terrible Bilingual effort.
