The book, Breaking Free From Me, by M.H. Johnson is a book that I really enjoyed reading. It kept me interested from start to finish. Stylistically and mechanically the book needs work, but the story line has been well developed into a quality redemption story.This modern day novel successfully brings the reader through the thick and thin, the ups and downs, of life as a young music star. The events seem realistic and the story flows in a manner that kept me engaged. It was easy to feel the character's feelings. True to our own personal Christian story, the ending of the book left me feeling joyful and redeemed, to be sure.
I felt inspired and uplifted by the Biblical connections. Johnson is strong in her ability to teach and disciple through her writing without it ever sounding condescending or unnecessarily preachy.
I am thankful I had the opportunity to read this book!

Very Good Book. God Spoke All Throughout This Book!!! Fictional but so relateable to real life!!!
This book is definitely a page Turner! I found myself on a journey with the main character of the story, as well as her family and friends. My heart was heavy to read about the hardships and challenges each character faced. However, I then was able to rejoice as I saw victory unfolding. The best part was the introducing the tool of faith used to bring it all together. I highly recommend this book. It is just awesome!
Wow! Wow! I am totally in ahh because M.H. Johnson has done it again. The message in this book stands out so clear to me. The real life everyday thing that pop stars, movie stars face in real reality. M.H. Johnson has captivated her audience in this book by everyday real life stories this is a story of how things can spiral totally out of control if we are not careful. This book is simply amazing because it shares how one incident can change everything. It makes me ponder are we strong enough in our own strength to come back? Or do we need God to help us get back?
All I can say is "wow!" M.H Johnson has done it again!
Breaking Free From Me, her first fiction work, is an absolute must read!
I found myself saying "wow!" after each chapter - anxiously anticipating what happens next! The characters, the emotions, and the subtle, but powerful message grab you from the start and never let go. I smiled. I cried. I cheered!!!
And the ending!!! Wow!
